The year 2007 seems to be a lucky year for Shahrukh Khan. His last release Om Shanti Om has proved to be the greatest hit of the year, and his famed six pack abs have made him an iconic figure for those struggling to loose weight. Now he has one more reason to grin and be a proud husband. His wife Gauri Khan has been chosen as the cover model for the Indian edition of the world famous Vogue magazine, for its January issue. The photo shoot was taken extensively and exclusively in the sprawling arena of Shahrukh’s bungalow, Mannat. Though people attached to Vogue are genuinely thrilled and extremely pleased at the outcome of the shoot, Gauri, who is not too media savvy and likes to shield her private life from public glare, seems not too ecstatic with the whole idea. She said that she enjoyed the shooting, but would think twice before again jumping into something similar to this.
Gauri was a member of Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe, and has done many laudable performances, before her husband stole all the spotlight. Still she has an enviable figure inspite of being a mother of two children, and according to Priya Tanna, the editor of Vogue India, she was charisma, beauty, charm and poise personified, which makes her the ideal choice as the cover girl of the magazine.
This is her first solo cover, and she has also given delightful insights of her family life, children, career through numerous anectdotes. The readers will also get a peek of her style mantra when the magazine hits the stands on December 20th.
